[Congratulations, you got him to laugh, Hiyori-san. That may be a first in this house. Even Izumida's surprised by it. He picks her up very carefully (sliding his hand under her rather than picking her up by the shell because Fukutomi-san taught him that can hurt turtles!), first setting her on the dresser so he can pull a shirt on. They're both lucky that's all he was lacking this time. Once he's decent, he picks her up again and they head downstairs.]
So you never did answer me earlier, Hiyori-san. How did you end up as a turtle?
[Izumida is not immune to cute things and her sitting on that couch is adorable. He's going to have to remember this the next time she's calmly insinuating that she'll murder him.]
Yukihina-san becomes a woman? ... That doesn't seem the same as turning into a turtle.
[It seems easier for everybody involved if he sets the board on the couch and sits on the floor. More level of a playing field, so to speak.]
[ At least he can look forward to the next time she's Lost. ]
It'5 rand0m! My 0ther daddy turn5 into a w0lfd0ggie and my mum-d@d turns into @- [ She stops herself there because she momentarily forgot that they're currently mortal enemies. Her and her dad-mum. And that makes her both angry and sad. Sorry, she's unusally quiet now. ]
[Izumida's not completely sure he buys that but on the other hand he doesn't know his adoptive sister nearly well enough to pry. He does know one thing, though.]
It's too early for you to just have sugar and that's far too much for someone your size! What about an apple slice?
[Well, that was much easier than he expected. Izumida stands and heads to the kitchen, returning with two strawberries, chopped up small on a saucer beside the tiniest pile of white sugar possible. He may have actually counted the grains out. Either way, it seems like a compromise to him.
He sets the plate near Hiyori then sits back down. He brought a handful of berries for himself along with a glass of water.]
[ It's harder to get your way when she's this tiny, okay.
She doesn't say thank you, but she's eating it. It's annoying that she can't eat very fast though. At least she uses her front legs to help unlike a lot of normal turtles. ]
[And he's not taking advantage! It's just a side of her he didn't ever imagine existed.
He takes his time eating as well, mostly so he can keep an eye on Hiyori-san. The hybrid human-turtle way of eating is very different from Fukutomi-san's Turtle, but it seems to work for her.]
[ What, she's not heartless. She just happened to be spoiled by some of her parents (Yukihina, especially) and not by others (Kouji is a bit more annoying with healthy stuff).
She reaches a foot up as if reaching up her hand in a classroom. ]
[Heartless comes totally from the threatening-to-murder stuff. The nutrition thing is purely Izumida's hangup, but she's so young! It's important to establish good habits early!]
Sure thing!
[He leaves and returns with... just a straw, which he drops into his own glass and offers to her. Family, right? Should be fine.]
I think this might be bigger than all of you, Hiyori-san. Please be careful!
[He does bring the straw closer, but, well. He can always take it away if she gets too zealous. She won't be any fun to play with if she's puking. On the other hand, if he takes it away, she miiiiight kill him in his sleep.
[ She doesn't have to drink it all at once, does she? She grips the straw as well as she can and starts to sip it. It takes a bit of time, be patient with her. ]
[Izumida will be as patient as she needs because this is also tooth-rottingly cute. Even though he knows the little girl inside the turtle is... something else entirely even if she is also sometimes cute.]

[Aaand they're down and into the living room. Here, Hiyori-san, enjoy the couch while he gets the game out.]

Izumida's setting the pieces out when Kiyori gets quiet. He pauses and tilts his head, leaning down until he's closer to her.]

Y3s sh3 can.
